Tim Tebow – Back in the NFL

It seems as if though everyone has forgotten that Tim Tebow lead a Broncos team and led them to a division title and a playoff victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. That’s just a fact you cannot argue with. Dom (Vin Desiel) from the Fast and the Furious couldn’t have said it any better “it doesn’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile winning is winning”. All Tebow does is win. Sure it isn’t pretty, Tebow’s throwing motion makes all quarterbacks cringe. But who says winning has to be pretty. In the National Football League it’s all about winning football games.

Tebow has been out of football and out of the NFL eye for a couple of years. Many probably under the assumption that Tebow’s playing was over after a stint with the New York Jets. However that is far from the truth, Tebow has been working on his mechanics and getting better as a quarterback. Now that hard work and dedication has paid off after getting signed by the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles make sense because of one man: Chip Kelly.

Chip Kelly is innovative when it comes to the offensive side of the football. If there is one coach that would be willing to take a chance on Tebow and more importantly know how to use Tebow correctly, it would be Kelly. The Eagles offense ran the read option more than any other team in the NFL, it just so happens that the read option is Tebow’s bread and butter. When you combine DeMarco Murray with Tebow and the read option you can just see Chip Key with a smirk on his face. Chip Kelly sees and believes there is something Tebow can offer to help win football games.

Now I understand Tebow isn’t Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers or Andrew Luck. Tebow doesn’t have to be, he just has to be Tebow and have someone believe in him. As a fan I’m excited to see what Chip Kelly has in store for Tebow. But this much is certainTebow isn’t done playing footballTebow finally gets a coach will be able to utilize and maximize his potential.

He might be the third string quarterback, but everything has its time; “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”(‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭10‬ KJV).

So get ready cause Tebowing is back!

  1. So happy for Tebow. He has a following from Gainesville and beyond, who will always support him. And we never forgot that he brought Denver to the playoffs! He will do well, he likes being the uderdog. It is the flower that blooms in adversity that is the most precious of all. Tebow will do well this year!
